We have recently returned from a fantastic trip to Budapest!
Only 2 hours from London and with flights from as little as £18 one way with Wizz Air, Budapest is a must see.
I’m sure most of you would agree that travel is a very important investment. With fares getting lower and so many destinations less than 3 hours away on a plane there is no time like the present to jet set!
Budapest was a very welcoming 20-23 degrees with the sun blazing and minimal tourists. We had a short trip of only 3 days so hopped on a tour bus to make the most of it. We also took a sunset boat tour which was beautiful but a bit breezy (take a jacket). The world famous baths did not dissapoint and the scenery was absolutely spectacular. Get to the top of Buda hill either day or night for views of the entire city.
Our Budapest favourites include:
Central Market Hall – Head upstairs for souvenirs including traditional Hungarian embroidery. Work your way around as the stalls towards the back are over 50% cheaper! Most stall holders will offer you discounts for paying cash.
Mazel Tov – Delicious Israeli food, cocktails and live music – evenings only.
Rudas Baths – Relax in the roof top thermal pool for a spectacular sunset over the city.
Buda Castle Funicular – Take this unique cable car up Buda hill to the historic sights and take a relaxed stroll back down.
Kiosk – Great food and amazing cocktails. We went here every day, enough said.
